Abstract
Addicted games online gaming is a perilous phenomenon we are currently facing. The duration and frequency of playing online games have an impact on the player, whether good or bad. Teenagers are anxious. Teenagers’ anxiety is not only associated with the condition of online game addiction, but it is also linked to their sedentary behavior. Teenagers who play online games for extended periods will likely experience a decline in their physical activity levels. Sitting or lying down excessively reduces energy expenditure, leading to an imbalance between the body’s incoming and outgoing energy. This study aims to understand the relationship between sedentary behavior and anxiety levels in adolescents who are addicted to online games. Type study this is a quantitative approach to observational analysis with a cross-sectional design. The Adolescent Sedentary Activity Questionnaire (ASAQ) used to measure level of sedentary behavior, and the HARS scale (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) is used to measure level of anxiety. This research show that as many as 244 (53.3%) respondents are sedentary, and as many as 213 (87.3%) respondents are anxiety. The Chi-square test results indicate a significant relationship between sedentary behavior and anxiety levels in adolescents who are online game addicts, with a p-value of 0.000. The expected party school can hold routine morning exercises at school every Tuesday and Friday and require students to take part in at least one extracurricular activity in the afternoon.
Keywords: sedentary behavior, anxiety, online games.
