Benefit Dietary Fiber Snack for Diabetes Mellitus Patients Type 2 in Palembang Population

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by blood glucose levels exceeding normal, namely when blood glucose levels are ≥ 200 mg/dl. The effectiveness of giving snack-rich fiber to diabetes mellitus patients. This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design. This research conducted in May 2023 at the Alang-Alang Lebar Health Center in Palembang. The research sample selected by systematic random sampling with a total sample of 60 respondents. There is an effect of giving snacks rich in fiber to diabetes mellitus patients (p=0.000). The results of statistics showed that there was an effect of giving snacks rich in fiber to diabetes mellitus patients.
